I turn once again to the #MastoMind

Need: A #backpack appropriate to #hiking and maybe overnight #camping (just one night).

The Hitch: 15 years ago I had a really bad accident. I'm lucky to be alive and it's a MIRACLE I'm both alive and *not* paralyzed... But I didn't walk away unscathed. I managed to break every rib on my left side, in addition to my shoulder blade and collar bone (plus neck but that doesn't support the pack).

This hurts all day every day but in a way I guess I'm used to. Anything that can help take weight off my left side would be a great help though.

Any ideas to narrow myself down to out of the gate? I'm hitting REI next weekend and hope they're knowledgeable at the Cincy location, but going in armed with any questions, etc will be awesome.

#StandardNotes decided to break all of my third-party editors today, and I can't afford their premium plans ever, so just in case this breakage is permanent, I'm test-driving #Joplin again.

I'm open to suggestions for other note-taking apps. My criteria is: Markdown is supported, there are desktop and mobile apps, notes can be encrypted, and notes can be exported and/or backed up. Thanks, #MastoMind!

#Mastomind, what is a good portable 17" 4K monitor for use equally with Mac and Windows? Note: I looked at UPerfect, but apparently it pixelates on mac w/o apps to remediate this.

#Mastomind - How are folks dealing with boosting #NSFW posts from servers that don’t have #CW requirements? Like I wanna promote the hottness, but I don’t want to expose others (on my server or others) to materials they might not wanna see. Maybe I’m thinking about this wrong, and maybe I’m missing something.

Thinking of getting my own custom domain next year, mainly for emails and websites/blogs.

Was considering #Porkbun because of its free #WHOIS privacy and #SSL certificates, but apparently it uses #Cloudflare #DNS now?

Would prefer having complete control of my domain, so #Njalla and #IncognitoNet are probably not suitable.

I legitimately forgot that #MailboxOrg also has cloud storage and email aliases in its Standard plan. I immediately started with the Light plan, so I didn't get to try it out thoroughly. Cloud storage is WebDAV-compatible, but encryption is per-file and PGP-based, so I wonder about the overall security. Also, there's conflicting documentation whether the plan has 10 or 25 email aliases.

I've been thinking about cutting back my expenses on SaaS subscriptions. My current setup is #MailboxOrg + #AnonAddy + #EteSync + #Nextcloud (might replace with #Cryptee) + #MullvadVPN. If I sign up for #Proton Plus, I'll get the equivalent of all five services for almost the same price or cheaper, depending on the subscription period. I'm kinda concerned about putting all my data in one provider, though.

#MastoMind, what do you think? Should I keep my current setup or switch to Proton Plus?
