Asked both sets to Boost/Repost/Like/Favourite and comment.

Almost ZERO engagement/reach on Threads and massive reach on Mastodon.

I suspected Mastodon would easily win but not by this much.

🧵 1/ Lately, I've been seeing posts about some in the #Fediverse who are concerned with the #Meta #Project92, which is to create an Instagram spin-off that would compete with Twitter by tapping into the actual #Fediverse #ActivityPub code.

And while some of those concerns may be valid, I will say this - I think there are issues within the #Fediverse that need far more attention now. I have a short list of things to consider if #Mastondon expects to be sustained long-term.

@phanpy - LOVING phanpy.social. It's a much better desktop browser UI experience for #mastondon users. I had tried Elk, but this is just so much better.

A few things I am noticing that I hope are coming as enhancements:

- Character count display during toot creation
- Ability to use standard emojis, not just the custom ones
- Ability to add GIFs, as well as a setting to auto-play/turn off auto-play

The thing that I'm not enjoying about Spoutible is that it's just a massive echo chamber for hardcore #Democrats and #leftists. There's no variety of content. It gets boring after a few minutes.

What a world we live in. I looked outside only five minutes ago and ascertained there is not one flake of snow and it's raining quite heavily. I now note that the little weather icon for my area's weather at the bottom of my laptop shows it's snowing and icy. Even my computer is trying to gaslight me. Oh the lies!
