Today is the first day I've done some #spinning since the 8th of this month, when I had to call a rest due to the Evil Thumb.

It's feeling less inflamed, but I'm definitely missing some of the range of motion I had before this... attack. I can try and build that back up, but at least I can do the necessary pinching motions for drafting and releasing twist without feeling like I'm doing further damage. Still, twinges...

Hmph. Unscheduled rest-day, I think. My right thumb has turned really, really evil. Drafting fiber seems to hit the irritated portion of the joint in exactly the wrong way.

Whee, just got another 30 minutes of Tour de Fleece done - local weather means that my usual spinning wheel place is *not* bathed in sunlight, so I didn't have to delay a session today.

@avitol @distel Brilliant! Last summer the #mastospinners organized a kind of spin-along during the Tour de France. Very low key, but people had fun.

#TourdeFleece: Woohoo! Had enough time yesterday morning to spin on my wheel (spinning the #faseradventskalender from 2017). later I could sit down, chat with a friend, eat something (syrian Hummous, yumm!) and spin more with my kurdish spindle while our toddlers were playing together.

A quiet #sundaymorning, #spinning for #tdf2018 with my fellow #mastospinners. #amspinning with a drop spindle, this time with a commercial wool roving, probably Merino by the feel of it.

Not sure if I'll get in as much time as yesterday - despite my best efforts to "pace" myself, my hands are letting me know, by being even warmer than the weather, that they've noticed this extra work I'm asking them to do.

Then I can get into silly internal dialogues of which account is the sock-puppet. (A masts-sock-puppet? oooh, there's a project idea, and I have some grey acrylic leftover from when I crocheted a Totoro hand-puppet from my loving husband...)
