Live footage from the #Mastowatch offices when the bug reports on today’s TestFlight build started coming in.

Who doesn’t love updates? A new version of #Mastowatch should be popping up in the store this afternoon. The first change is to the icon, which no longer looks like it was rendered using a Palm Pre. In honor of @ivory launching this week, this build also has a fix so that Mastowatch doesn’t crash when you open tapbots.social or any other server where the admin account hasn’t posted yet. Shout out to @pandapoo for catching that one!

Did you know #Mastowatch supports P3 color for themes? That means being able to pick more vibrant colors than traditional displays can render. Vivid pinks, greens and oranges (to name a few) that were not even possible a few years ago. Not only that, but you can save custom colors in the color picker to make it super easy to jump between favorites. Reply with your current Mastowatch theme color! No cheating!

I tooted about @Mastowatch on my previous account. This tool allowed me to discover mastodon.social weekly activities with info like status posts and new user registrations. This led me to thinking it has to be through invitations considering the server is closed to new registrations. Ask and ye shall receive (sometimes).

If it wasn’t for this tool I would’ve continued hopelessly monitoring when the serve reopens for new accounts. Love having tools like #Mastowatch.
