1. If your company has less than 50 employees within a 75 mile radius, you do NOT qualify for FMLA.
2. You can’t request Short Term Disability until you’re already gone, and you’ll use PTO for weeks waiting for eligibility and pay.
Most importantly, NEITHER are suitable for maternity leave. We deserve better.

@catchthebaby I heard this before from some formula company research- it made me think either they 1) wanted to replicate formula better or 2) convince mothers that pumped milk was too hard thus needed to buy more formula. As I’ve studied breastmilk for years now I keep hearing direct latch is better. It is hard to promote when society doesn’t support it though.
