I listened to #CathyONeil 's #WeaponsofMathDestruction

I found O'Neil's title of the faceless #math models and algorithms affecting the lives of people as "WMDs" to be funny but fitting. Her bias is reflected but enlightening.
While I like the idea of the data scientist Hippocratic oath, I would be more excited to see algorithmic audits. I also think adding a human into AI loops could also help restore some sanity to these math models running a-muck. mathbabe.org
