Trying to get the #mathworks #buildroot SD card image built. This is for a #zynq #zc706, using the build.py straight out of the repo on supported hardware for supported versions of MATLAB, HDL Coder, and Vivado.

Lots of errors. Could use some opinions and advice.

@nicorikken you are really not correct in stating that "much of the industry has moved to Python". #Python is used a lot in #ASML. #Julia less so, but may be more promising eventually.
We have 8000+ users of #MATLAB and the algorithms they develop are deeply embedded into every machine we sell.
The #MathWorks and ASML are more than mere vendor and client. We drive MATLAB development by partnering with The MathWorks and making sure that our requirements end up as features in future releases.

Need to update #Matlab because #Mathworks keeps adding "features" to their product to encourage people to write even sloppier code and of course people embrace this. 🤬

#Introduction

Just landed in the UK after an amazing #SC22. Not only was it lovely to get to spend some quality bonding time with my #mathworks colleagues but I got to speak to what felt like hundreds of people who are interested in #MATLAB.

Also caught up with many friends from the community who I haven’t seen for far too long and made a bunch of new friends too!

One of my favourite moments was when a MATLAB dev was bonding with a Julia dev over their shared coffee geekery!

Just received a message from #Mathworks. They have addessed a bug in release #Matlab 2022b which I have reported a few months earlier, and which prevented #TopoToolbox to process very large grids. Excellent #service! Thanks!

@garritfra It may have simulink, which I'm not real familiar with but if it's doing graphical simulations that might explain it. Be sure to warn her that #Mathworks will spam her regularly once she installs #MATLab. Also warn her that the commandline linux version is glitchly & sometimes the engine only runs properly in the GUI. She should pressure the school to switch to #GNUOctave.
