I keep seeing mentions of an awful person whose name is really similar to Eric Weisstein, which always makes me think "oh no when did the Treasure Trove of Science / MathWorld guy go bad". And then I realize they are two different people.

Today I googled it to be really sure, and the topmost summary bubble in the results led to Weisstein's personal website which still looks like this:

Wow, Eric Weinstein (guy who made #Mathworld for Wolfram) said something dumb on birdsite.

He thinks that people talking about LGBTQ or "people of colour" are just making up problems that didn't really exist because the words they are using to describe these problems are very recent.
