Another go on this scene, adding the boat in the FG and the mountains in the BG.
The mountains were quick, position, scale, and blur.
The boat took time setting it into the water, shading, highlighting, cropping some tiny waves against the hull, and drawing the water in and around it.
It'll get another rework to to get the rocks' shine down, not gelling with the sunset.

Reworked the coastal piece after some good feedback via Matte Paint Academy's discord group.
The previous piece was super heavy in contrast within the rocks and shadows. It became obvious to me after reworking the piece.
I'd agree this one feels much more natural. Felt like actually painting, working in soft shadow transitions between light and dark.
