Oczywiście, skoro mówimy o #RustLang, wszystko jest dostarczone w jednym pakiecie i zlinkowane statycznie, więc zamiast naprawić jedną paczkę (mimalloc) w #Gentoo, musimy kombinować jak naprawić każdą paczkę używającą mimalloc.
Tak więc po prostu wyłączyłem mimalloc i życie biegnie dalej, *wzdryg*.
Do tego, wygląda na to, że #Maturin nie wspiera wyłączania poszczególnych funkcji paczek indywidualnie, więc zamiast tego muszę wyłączyć wszystko, co jest włączone domyślnie. Jeżeli w przyszłości pojawią się nowe funkcje, będziemy musieli włączać je ręcznie, *wzdych*.

This reader of the Aubrey/Maturin novels found “Hammocks: a Maritime Tool” well worth a skim. Illustrations that resolved some questions I didn’t know I had about the use of hammocks in naval ships during the Napoleonic Wars.
Also: looking at the build instructions for an HMS Speedy model helps. (Sophie in /Master and Commander/ was Speedy in real life.)

Post Captain finished with pleasure and now on to HMS Surprise, third in the #Aubrey and #Maturin saga of 20 by #Patrick_O'Brian. Best holiday reading ever - should know as this is the seventh or eighth time I've read the novels.

The first set of results I got were the French translations and I was like, wait, I'm trying to get better at French, this is an excuse to try those! However, given the way he writes, it might work better to read in English first (also stole those).
I then had the bright idea to see if I could find the Aubrey-Maturin books, which I have read before, in French. Unfortunately, I could only find Italian and Spanish, which I do not read. And English, so I stole those, too. But if I found them in French, I would the advantage of being familiar with the texts already.
