Any #Mautic users or developers here? I'm expecting to implement my first Mautic installation and I'm having a love-hate relationship with it so far.

It really seems like a piece of software that's made to do just about anything and nothing at the same time. I totally understand the potential and am figuring out how to set it up, but this thing does absolutely nothing straight out of the box.

It'd be great if there were packaged versions of it pre-configured for certain common applications.

@michael oh wow, #Mailcoach is fantastic. It's going to make this a difficult choice. It's clean, easy to use, and just works right out of the box. The same can't be said for #Mautic.

I'm torn because I'll be integrating with a #Drupal based system so I'd rather keep my assets on Syfony based platforms in case I need to do some customization.

Mautic is on Symfony and MailCoach is on Laravel.

BTW, if anyone else is also looking for these solutions, if I were to go with a full service solution, it would be #SocketLabs. I gave that a test drive last year and found it to be everything I'd want except for being open source. I may still end up there if #Mautic falls short for me. SocketLabs' pricing was friendly to small operators like me, the UI was clean, service was easy to use, nailed all of the basics almost to perfection.

I've been seeking a self-hosted email marketing automation solution for some time to replace the an ancient newsletter sender I've been using. Most self-hosted marketing automation software I've tried has been barely usable.

I gave #Mautic a spin this weekend and it's looking very promising. Extra bonus that it's #Drupal friendly. The UI is rough, but I only need the basics. I'll be running it over the API mostly.

Any other options I should look at before I commit?
