Sous forme d'interviews documentées, #WorldWarZ décrit minutieusement la politique, la sociologie, les traumatismes engendrés par la première guerre mondiale contre les morts-vivants.

Captivant. Et un poil flippant.

I thought I would check out how #melbrooks is going. Well it would seem.

It is quite ironic that a brilliant man like that would have such a quirky son whose claim to fame, well one of them, is writing zombie books. #maxbrooks You look at your kids and you hope they will be different and happy.

It's basically like #worldwarz by #maxbrooks only w/robots. Fantastic. Also the author sounds like such an interesting person: a Cherokee citizen, a CMU Robotics Institute grad, lives in Portland w/his wife & daughter. I feel like he's probably been thru some shit these past 4 years, wow.

Got my hold on the sequel #RoboGenesis at my library & impatiently waiting now 😊

Vamos con una reseña del #libro "The #Zombie Survival Guide - complete protection from the living dead" (#MaxBrooks).

Como me pasó con su obra relacionada #WolrdWarZ, releer este libro 10 años después me dolió un poco. El punto de partida es el mismo en ambos: tomarse como hipótesis una versión concreta del mito #zombi, y desarrollar a partir de ahí como si fuera una no-ficción. En el de WWZ busca un enfoque sociológico-histórico-etnográfico, y en este se trata más bien de un manual para #preppers, o una reflexión sobre una #distopía post #colapso.

Hasta ahí, bien, el problema es que parte de una base tremendamente arquista y focalizada en la violencia (ejercida): tan internalizadamente pro-jerarquía y anti-organización que dedica capítulos enteros a discutir distintos tipos de armas y estrategias paramilitares y prácticamente nada a la convivencia o a la toma de decisiones post-colapso.

Me gustaría leer más de esto mismo desde nuestro lado. Menos armas, más huertos y más asambleas :anarchoheart3: :solidarity: #solarpunk, #hopepunk
