@jacklaridian My favourite bad movie is #MaximumOverdrive (1986), which is directed by #StephenKing and makes you wish he'd stuck to writing. But this #scifi tale of machines taking over the world and killing humans has a brilliant opening scene set to the #AC/DC soundtrack. Their van also makes an appearance. As a bonus, #YeardleySmith, the voice of #LisaSimpson has a role. I urge you to watch it. The whole film is here on the #InternetArchive.

Maximum Overdrive is the story of the time Stephen King snorted half of Bolivia and pushed hacks like Kubrick, Carpenter and De Palma out of the way to show them how to properly direct one of his stories. To his credit, this movie is more reflective of his work than any other.

It's good that the urban terrorism of excessive parking spaces is finally being challenged. They make American cities look gap-toothed, ugly and anti-human. Aliens peering down from their flying saucer might conclude that motor vehicles were the dominant intelligence, having forced the human population into providing for all their needs.
