This marks the end of an era that really meant a lot to me. Maximum PC, in particular. I've been a reader since the days that it was Boot.

@harrymccracken Hell, I'm still pissed #ByteMagazine was changed into #MaximumPC, but I think #LinuxFormat is still around!

Got an email today announcing the demise of the physical edition of Maximum PC. It's going to fully electronic delivery.

It's probably for the best, and saves trees, but I looked forward to opening each issue and whiffing that new magazine smell. #MaximumPC

It’s probably time to toss my 2019 back issues of Maximum PC in the recycling. It’s 2023, and despite most media being online these days, I still look forward to every issue. They always manage to cover unique content that is mostly absent in all of my usual online tech haunts. I’ve been a subscriber since the late 90s.

There’s also something special about holding and smelling a real, printed magazine. #MaximumPC
