I see some 3d pipeline types here. Here’s a debate: We need to categorize data in a maya scene to be post processed by the pipe. E.g. pulling out set geometry and publishing it. What is the better approach for identifying that data in the Maya scene? Tagging via an attr? Using high level groups? Something else? #pipeline #maya3d

I bought some 3D scans of a head for reference to get some more realism and detail in. the one on the right I've warped to be a little bit more of the proportion I'm looking for. It's helping me quite a bit, particularly with skull and cheek shapes at strange angles.

Ok, I'm calling this done_final_definitaly_final_for_sure_final_done.
I've got to move to the character and finish them. Overall I am happy with it, some bits I want to fix it can at a later date.
I know it's not a real gun, but, I wanted to make a chunky handgun model that has been around and is well-used.
At a later date, I may return, tweak, fix a couple of things and add some additional decals.
For now, I must move on!

I got a few hours into trying to build a locomotion engine with the Maya rig "NC11_Woman" before realizing it wasn't very compatible with Unreal.
