This year's May Pole is an old fallen oak branch, and this photo encapsulates the dreary, wet day.
As a family, we've danced a May Pole for about 10 years now and I didn't want to miss it, so we danced in the rain.
We stomped and slid around in the slush, laughing and singing a few rounds of "Oak and Ash and Thorn," conjuring summer in!
