@omnipotens they would not disappear completely I think, but forsure we'd be looking at the possibility of Ubuntu desktop mutating into MSUdesktop or being killed off entirely in favour of 'focusing on server/cloud edition'. You'd be seeing new forks all over the place ofcourse, but Ubuntu as we know it up untill now and its community drive, would be dead IMO. Which is also why LinuxMint LMDE is a vital project. #MayYouLiveInInterestingTimes #Linux
