Woke up in time for virtual Morning #Mindfulness with my shul. Meaningful as always. It’s a lovely way to start the day. It’s basically a quick and easy morning service run by very talented lay leaders that started during #COVID and never stopped.

I don’t always get to attend because it’s at 0545 my time.

(The joys of a shul three time zones away. If I’m going to be virtual, why be bound by geography? So I attend the shul that speaks to me instead of the one that’s close to me.) #Mazeldon

#Ephemera: When unfolded, this album commemorating the First #Zionist Congress (August 29-31, 1897), depicts the delegates.

Here, 162 of them. Figures vary, but 200-250 persons took part, including 17 #women—though they became voting members only in 1898

Interesting that this evidently American document featured portraits of not only the movement’s leaders—but also #Washington and Columbus. Trying to suggest an equivalence of nation-building—or just patriotic filler?
