A few months ago I took the family on a 5200 km round trip camping trip to Hokkaido and back. We’re a family of 4 and our only car is a Suzuki Spacia kei car, so packing every day was a difficult game of Tetris

Coming back I assumed they’d all be sick and tired of camping, but to my surprise everyone was excited to go camping again, and we’ve gone a few times since. But fitting sleeping bags etc is still difficult

So today I installed a roof rack on our car! Better late than never?

About a month, ago, I bought my first Windows PC…

I've bought PC parts to build a Linux server once before but this is the first time buying a PC with a Windows license

I was at #HARDOFF browsing and found this laptop for 500 yen and realized I only own one computer (and a Synology)

I bought it to have something to bring when I don't want to risk my $3000 MacBook Pro (like out drinking)

It came with no RAM/HDD but those were easy to find at the same store

12 years ago I spotted a box fan for sale which made me do a double-take. Nice and large, but rechargeable! And… had an FM antenna sticking out and CFL lamps!

The weirdest combination I had seen

But as large aftershocks were still a weekly occurrence, it still kind of seemed to make sense to have an "emergency fan" like this during the hot summer
