Upcoming: a week of #hamradio and lots of #qrp operations. I decided to pack the #trusdx and my #mchf for the trip, so it will be qrp only. Let’s see what I can activate with less than 5 Watts. There is a pota spot - however I have no voice keyer. Guess I need the magic of CW within the trusdx to make it happen.

Back in the UK after 37 years in the tropics.

Thanks to VK2AAA's anomaly on 15m WSPR (it showed up at 21.096229Mhz which is outside the expected range of 21.0960 - 21.0962 Mhz range, I now know that this RS-916 has an 120Hz offset on the 15m band.

And again I will need to have to dive into the manuals to find out if I can fix this setting. It's a great little box, but as usual, hardware issues suck.

So far, I was used to #QRP/portable TRX like #QCX, #mcHF, #IC705 which need 0,3A RX and max 1,5A TXMy new/used #FT891 is very different: 1A RX, 8A when transmitting 20W #morse; this seems so highly inefficient. Why is it like that?
