It’s kind of startling to me that #McLuhan doesn’t get so much as a nod in this piece on #attention and extended #cognition and so on, as it could just as easily have inverted his insight that “every extension is also an amputation,” and left it at that. It’s worth reading anyway…if you can manage to maintain your focus.
