Mid-15th C semi-subterranean Inuit winter house, during excavation, 1980. Cape Walker, Russell Island, Canadian Arctic. Looking towards the main room, from the end of the entrance passage. Stone upright roof supports, and parts of bone/antler roof structure collected from surface. A polar bear skull has been placed on the floor of the entrance passage after the final use of the house.
