He asked Taylor, who was ferociously chewing the living daylights out of a piece of gum, whether he was concerned at the inclusion in England’s XI of #DevonMalcolm. All due respect to Mark Ramprakash but I don’t think he understands #McStokes at all. The very last thing they’ll be thinking about is the #Ashes. Which is as it should be and previous regimes’ myopic, disrespectful focus on just #Australia has been their downfall.

Imho #Rehan comes in for Jacks. #Foakes comes in, but how? Rest #Woody? Reat Jimmy: does he even get tired? Don’t see how Woody will survive another mauling of the body like that. Notice how the #McStokes side relies on its top and middle order for runs! Where did that nightmare go? If you’re against Regan, I get that, but Foakes must free up Pope to play consistently at 3. Places will matter more on pitches that give the bowlers a lot.
