I accidentally started a vermicompost.
Been putting my #mealworms frass into a dried-out plant pot designated as "inside" compost, with whatever dried plant trash I had lying around.
Turns out frass had plenty of eggs in it, and the resulting mealies were v. happy in the soil, despite not being fed or watered.
Then I dumped the "inside" compost into the "outside" bin on the balcony, where more kitchen scraps were ending up. The mealies were even happier.
Problem? Winter Is Coming
