It's my privilege to teach at a (mostly) girls school. It's lovely to walk a while with all these young people. To share their delights, concerns, challenges &, in turn, to be delightful, challenging & even, on occasions, 'concerning' to them. As educators, we relate the good & the bad of our shared world (hence the 'concerning'), & (hopefully) to present it in a way that gives them hope, empowerment, & agency.

The University of Innsbruck kindly invited my keynote lecture on meaningfulness and sustainable transitions. Post #cop27egypt we need to think more about the kinds of people we need to become if humanity is to transition to sustainable ecological civilisations. How we conceive of meaningful lives and work is an important aspect of the whole system changes we now face.
