Okay, this is sort of useful. Especially for pints, which I can never remember. But if any recipe ever calls for 1/16 of a cup of anything, I'm going to throw it in the fire. I mean, maybe a cocktail? But that should use milliliters.
Also, I'm not saying I would ever use 5 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon of something just to avoid cleaning my 1/3 cup measure after using oil when I realize I next have to measure flour, but I'm not saying I wouldn't NOT not do that.

The danger is that we mistake measures for the thing itself. #Measures are a proxy and we need to understand the limitation of the #data we use. The main point #Deming was making was we can’t just pretend the data we have tells us everything we need to know. We need to think. We need to understand that the data is useful but the limitations need to be remembered.
