M.E. Baird is a remarkable and somewhat mysterious talent, not only is he a skilled singer, songwriter, and musician. Over a three-decade-long creative career, he has written and recorded five critically acclaimed solo albums, and numerous other recordings. He decided to share these raw sketches of possible songs with a close friend, producer, musician and creative mad dog, Jamie Trevaskis, to ascertain if there was value in working them up.
Upon hearing the sketches, Jamie proposed that they were worth exploring and recording.
Tracking was done live with virtually no retakes. Baird's voice developed renewed vigour and weightiness in tracks such as 'Spinning Man'. After day one of recording, it became clear to Jamie and M.E. Baird that they were creating something unique.
