Yes, you read that right. Some editor saw the profile I had provided to the journal, and decided the pronouns were wrong. Because we so often accidentally write the wrong pronouns when writing in the third person about ourselves!? I am convinced the editor who did it must be a TERF, but I guess #Mechademia has no problem with TERFs on their staff.

If you're a fan of the journal #Mechademia, please know that that journal literally changed all the pronouns in my contributor's profile to #misgender me in print. When I complained to the editor in chief, Frenchy Lunning, who had already very publicly misgendered twice, she tearfully apologized and assured me she would fix it in digital. She did not fix it in digital. The only reason it's fixed in digital now is because the digital host saw my complaint on Twitter and acted promptly to fix it.
