Made a new #mechanicalkeyboard! It’s a Charybdis Nano designed by bastardkb, and it’s not for me, it’s for @joenash. This time, I #3dprinted the case, but no handwiring - really cool flexible PCBs. It works non-tented too. Do you want a silly keyboard? I like talking about keyboards and soldering stuff, so maybe I can help. Say hi!

I stumbled on this super rare (can only find one single result of it even existing and it’s a YouTube video just showing how it sounds, with zero info) mechanical #keyboard from the early 1980s.
It’s made by “C.P Clare & Co” which is apparently previously known as Clare Pendar, who seem to have made industrial switches for mainframes and stuff? I can’t find any information on the keyboard itself, what it belonged to, or any of that. The model number doesn’t come up anywhere. Hopefully one day someone sees this and can comment.

Ancer Research Group / Datacomp DFK121 mechanical keyboard (Futaba MA switches) from 1989. Subtle tactile press, clicky release. Never used any other keyboard with switches quite like this! It’s almost like buckling spring, but much easier to press. Very satisfying even if a bit noisy! 😄
