This week has been the 54th anniversary of man walking on the moon for the first time. Many #Numismatic coins and #Medallions, #Medals and #PNC issues have been released over the years. Here is a Fleetwood PNC issue from the US marking the 25th anniversary in 1994, featuring a 1979 S "Susan B Anthony" dollar.

Does anyone happen to know, how many of these PNCs were made?

And... why a 29c stamp? Assuming it's to do with 1994 postal rates, but it's an interesting denomination

Speaking of things most of us have forgotten (or never knew) re: #BastilleDay :
the #EiffelTower was built not just for a worlds fair,, but for one that was to honor the centennial of the #FrenchRevolution and the political and moral as well as technological progress since then.

Many small souvenir items such as #medals and tokens, made the connection

My favorite, though, has to be a paper knife with the handle in the shape of the Tower

I am building a collection of #coins, #tokens, #medals, #medallions & other #exonumia with #bible references. King David, King of #Israel, noted for killing Goliath (this is disputed) and unifying all the tribes of #Israel, features on this piece.
The bible lists his lineage down to Jesus. I haven't got as many pieces which quote the Old Testament but this quotes both 2 Samuel & 1 Kings

Among the simpler but striking ones is this Dutch piece, which, like some prints of the day, shows a man displaying the severed head to the crowd.
