the no. 1 culprit in dissemination of harmful reactionary tropes is the mainstream centrist media whose both-sides-ism requires that they give harmful reactionary falsehoods equal time and weight as any pushback against those ideas. all to drive engagement with their platform. this is not "having difficult conversations", it's reactionary messaging 101. propagandists have been lusty deployers of "flood the zone with shit" strategies.
