I prepared a backup in two different places (just in case) and was ready to wait a whole day to restore it, but #Synology #DSM broke all my expectations. After I moved my drives from an old DS223 to a new DS423+ and started it, it said: "Hey, looks like you are migrating from another NAS. Do you want to restore your system on a new NAS with a single button click?".
So far, DS423+ performance is super satisfactory. Especially #Plex. Sure, after the RAM upgrade from 2 to 6 GB.

Thanks to @frenck we could have Nginx Proxy Manager on the Home Assistant machine as an add-on.
Now my faulty #NUC is just a Plex server with various *arr software. The crashes are not critical anymore, by still annoying.

I'll see how the #Raspberrypi does as my own personal #Netflix -style #mediaserver. I might need more horsepower though.

Songs are suddenly paused / stop playing towards the end of each track. If I hit "Pause", the song continues. It looks like the connection to the Jellyfin server is interrupted after some time. I've suspected the Android battery saving mechanisms as a problem but setting "No battery optimization" in the app settings didn't change anything. The problem persists. ๐ค

I know lots of #streaming services have been dropping content lately and I'm not going to take any chances so I'm saving it all on my #Plex server. Usually I'd build my new computer but I got super lucky with this one. It's a rendering machine that's been fully refurbished and I got for $500 under value. Score. My (now 10 year old) build will be a nice little set-and-forget media server.
