I have an unknown sleep/exhaustion condition that I've been seeing a bunch of different doctors for over 4-5 years now. I'm working on applying for disability now as I'm struggling to maintain 18 hours of work a week, and it's only getting worse. I have less than $0.

Just exhausted another doctor's ideas, and received the bill for the last test they did. It's f*cking $800.

How does a medical aid like discovery with 1.3million members still charge so much? The next biggest provider is bonitas at 700k and then it drops to momentum at 153k members... you would think the scale benefits discovery especially when average age is 33. The tourniquets we bought from JB Tacticals were ridiculously cheap. Almost too cheap to be true really. This makes us wonder about the quality and whether they're up to the job. It's a serious concern, because when a tourniquet fails people die.

The tourniquets are not official CAT standard, but the JB Tacticals online shop does heavily promote this letter from the Ukrainian Guard, which I have to believe is genuine.

We eagerly await feedback on these #tourniquets.

Today we bought some more #tactical #medical supplies for IFAKs - pouches and tourniquets.

We also bought chest decompression needles. In the Prolonged Field Care podcast we posted about last week (https://social.coop/@blackflagmedical/110632223262833530) it was noted that there are never enough of these needles, so we bought everything available in the JB Tacticals online shop.

The #RhinoRescue package we bought on Monday evening already arrived with the ABC Galicia team in eastern Poland, for inclusion in the IFAKs they’re putting together.

I won’t take back all my negative thoughts about Rhino Rescue’s customer service, but this delivery is certainly much prompter than the previous one.
