Hey , I have a question for you! Is it possible/likely to: 1) get "mild" COVID in November; 2) exhibit symptoms of mono in January; 3) develop bronchitis a few days after that? 🤔

How do we access thousands of whole-slide images quickly while still retaining important clinical information? Until now, bigger libraries have meant slower searches – but might just have a solution.

To part quote @nick (works the other way around too)

You can help colleagues find you by adding your information to the Yellow Pages. Totally optional but a nice way to help build community if you feel comfortable sharing.

@bigdata @jeffjarvis @kathygriffin It’s good to use different options, and to not depend on any single platform. I’m happy to interact with young folks on Instagram, old folks on Facebook, and to follow & over here. Post seems built to copy the high-follower promo side of twitter. That’s fine, but Mastodon enables more dialogue. It’s more fun for us regular folks.

Good morning, /#MedMastidon and folks.

I normally wouldn’t share a study like this, but I’m going to. Here it is. I’ll give you time to read (at least the summary). biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/20

BTW, I hate threading on the Fediverse, but this is gonna be a thread.

Why don't routinely offer a option for who decide not to complete their /#DO for whatever reason (similar to some programs)?

is not for everyone, and many don't find out until after they start. Doing so would allow these highly qualified individuals to receive -level credentials recognizing their hard work and training.

Thoughts ?

My name badge hasn't had any title on it for the 20 years that I've had it. Don't recall by ones from training having one either.
Are they forcing you to use "Dr"?

Refreshing - evaluation and management of delirium - this afternoon. No matter which specialty you are in, delirium affects many of our patients and can lengthen hospital stay and affect mortality.

Such a powerful and beautifully articulated message about the experience of the journey within Intensive Care. This captures the essence of the knife edge that our patients can walk, and the way that we (as healthcare professionals) interface with it. Please take a few minutes to watch - this is a rare video which will stick in your mind.
