I would take it a step further and say: if this meeting can be an email, cancel it. If you are having the meeting to stroke your own ego, cancel it. If you are using any cutesy nomenclature around said meeting, e.g., a touchbase, a huddle-up, a check-in, etc., cancel it.

I used to attend anywhere from 6 to 11 hours of meetings per day. On Fridays I tried to have few to no meetings just so I would have some time off on the weekends. And I never took a vacation. All meetings were on the phone or video conferenced. I did that particular job for 8 or 9 years and I am so glad it is behind me. It was killing me. Literally. My health spiraled.
