Just an interesting bug I found while running the @3dprinting bot alongside my account in #Mashidon.

The bot favorites posts and boosts posts as it is intended, and I am only logged into the account to check up on it and receive direct messages directed to the bot.

However, I also follow it and see posts and often try to favorite a post, but I am met with a small bubble saying that I already favorited the post. The favorite detection between my two accounts are crossing.

Logging out of the one account, leaving the other logged in and favoriting a post, solves the situation.

Because #Mashidon is a fork of #Megaladon and the #Mastodon app, it would be interesting to know if other users also experience this?

I think it's because most clients don't support good visualization of #threads. When I read your threads, I use apps like #Fedilabs because #Megaladon just doesn't show the content correctly.

I like the idea of threads and how they are being popularized here on #Mastodon.

I even implemented my #bot to recognize threads and only boost the start of a thread and not reply to it to stop this behavior from users.

If they are interested in a post, they can click on it and see the entire thread, and random replies out of context aren't boosted. It drastically increased the quality of replies to post without decreasing engagement.

@paulpap @icecubesapp I swear the amazing iOS mastodon apps are going to make me switch platforms. But then I'd miss #moshidon and #megaladon!

But even then those ones just build off of the official Mastodon app instead of being built from the ground up.

Low energy day today, watching a show while helping to translate projects on #CodeBerg to Swedish. I'm so terrible at my own native language I have to google half the words :blobcatmeltcry:

Also, "boost" in the Swedish translation of #megaladon will be called "puff"! :blobcataww: (was a tricky one to find a good word for, but really happy with it!)
