Well, guess I start with saying that I loved the XIII trilogy. It's the last time that #finalfantasy felt like a warm hug to me.

The art, music, setting, & characters made me feel at home. Seeing FF going into action RPG makes me sad, but I now have the #megaten & #atelier series to fall back on.

I managed to get in and out of dungeon #7 of #Persona4 in less than 24 hours!

My 16-year-old daughter has been watching me play and I let her have a crack at the boss battle. She's played a lot of Pokemon but this was the first time I thought to let her play a #MegaTen game.

She didn't really have a chance though. I ended up changing my party members and restoring everyone's SP before retrying and I barely beat him.

Moved over from mastodon.world recently. Haven't had anything to post yet but I love the Local tab. Not only is there actually stuff I find interesting on it but maybe people here will appreciate my posts. I think every single one has been about video games. Mostly #MegaTen.

Finally started playing Soul Hackers 2. It's been on my to play list for too long. #MegaTen

First Betelgeuse, now Chris the Car.

Bummer that MegaTen seems to have stepped away from horror movie/pop culture demons.

The closest I can think of is Mothman introduced in SMTIII, but Mothman being a crypid blurs the line.

They could keep the aesthetic the later games aim for with poltergeists inhabiting different horror movie props.
(Think the cut Mickey and Donald demons from the first game being possessed walkaround costumes)

That's a cool use of Cerberus. Would have been cool if he was hidden like he was in SMT1 so a guide through this dungeon would have been more optional, but it gives the game a good texture regardless~

LISA has the advantage of having a finite fight system. There are very few random encounters. So most of the fights have a good amount of 'intent' to them. (A big goon with a handful of weak mooks fighting under him, confuse-berserk the big guy and pick off or try to mass status the little guys.)

Play LISA the Painful. The games's good.
Lotsa trigger warning for that game: the game is pretty painful sometimes.

Been debating streaming my way through all the #megaten #games and now that I realized I can call it "Shin Megami Tuesdays" or something like that I'm even more into the idea.

Read through the Devil Survivor artbook that I got for Xmas, and getting the urge to play through it again. The best #MegaTen game IMO, an absolute masterpiece, with outstanding character design by Suzuhito Yasuda.

Just about tied with Persona 4 Golden as my favourite game of all time.

I really like #megaten especially for the #mythology aspect; I love learning about demons and their origins. I'm currently playing #megamitensei2 , though at an incredibly slow pace since I kind of know what happens next at the Tokyo Tower. The music in this series is incredibly good even from its NES days!
Other things I'm into are #NUcarnival (#Olivine my beloved) and #fireemblem (particularly #fe4, with extra love for the substitutes :blobblush: )

Much like getting used to Mastodon's quirks, I recently got into better understanding hacking my 3DS so I can dump all of my purchased games for emulation and backup purposes.

I mainly purchased another 3DS to buy all of the #ShinMegamiTensei #Megaten games exclusive to the handheld but I'm slowly rebuilding my library. I'm mostly into RPGs for both DS and 3DS so any recommendations are welcome!
