That aside, I wouldn’t mind a new #JovianChronicles: Dream Pod 9 hit the scene back in 1992 with a very cool setting for #Mekton I’d describe as #TheExpanse, but with fewer aliens and more space mecha, debuting its dedicated #TTRPG (and their in-house #Silhouette system) five years later.

Day 27: Game I'd Like A New Edition Of

If I said #Tribe8RPG that would be cheating, because I'm already doing that.

So I think I'd say #Mekton. We were already supposed so get a new edition, but then Cyberpunk 2077 got in the way.

I'd love to see it updated, but even more I'd love for it to have more of a narrative focus. The version in my head uses step dice.

Oh yes, and #Mekton Wars 1: Invasion Terra (which for some reason I have two copies of) along with Operation Rimfire.

And a first edition print of the original Mekton rulebook in pretty excellent shape, if I do say so myself.

Day 17: Funniest Game I've Ever Played

A #Mekton game I ran at a convention. Not only were the anime tropes and puns flying fast and furious, but one of the players had listed on their character sheet "Pet". I had left it up to the player decide what it was, and they decided it was a lizard-like creature named Commander Mander. Commander Mander wore a miniature mecha pilot helmet, and the PC would continually ask Commander Mander what to do.

@LeviKornelsen rpg wonk is a very apt way to describe me. I've been playing since I was 10~ in the 80s. #pallidium was my og faves. Then I migrated to #cyberpunk2020 , #rifts, #gurps, #mekton, and such. Before long I was diving headfirst into #oWoD, #ChampionsRPG , and well tou name it.

These days I'm all over social media. Chatting up #pathfinder2e, #starfinder , and #SineNomineGames stuff. A lot really. 30+ years of experience and experimentation. I consider myself a "teaching gm".

7. in recent years i've spent something of an ugly amount of money on #ArsMagica, a game which resembles a college curriculum in its extensive treatments of various aspects and regions of the mythic medieval Europe and beyond. but like #Hero, #Mekton, and other games that make extensive solitaire mini-games out of thing-making, im not sure i'd ever be able to get a group together that would fully enjoy every aspect of #ArM, but it makes great idea fertilizer.
