I went for a semi-regular skin check yesterday - as a freckly redhead, who spent part of their childhood in the Caribbean, I like to be sure nothing horrible is growing on me. The doctor was very complimentary about my sunblock regime, the lack of sunburn at this time of year, and my description of cloudy summer days as “sunburn weather”. One freckle needs to be removed and biopsied. It might be nothing, but better to be safe #melanoma #skincancerawareness

@statto The approach is being investigated in other solid #cancers like #melanoma or #colorectalcancer as well: reduce tumor burden with surgical resection and then add vaccination to the adjuvant (maximum) treatment...ideally a blueprint for success.
