@markmcelroy I’m trying with Longform at present. Seems okay-ish. I couldn’t go back to wrestling with the #Scrivener UI or, god forbid, Word. I wrote my PhD in #Mellel, which was much faster and more pleasant, but proprietary file format.

Searches for users don’t work so well here on #Mastodon. Moreover, many companies/apps don’t have yet a Mastodon account. I’m thinking of #Mellel and #Nisus, two word processors for Mac.

I'm thinking of giving a survey of a few useful apps I use for writing (Humanities) and note-taking, as I am often suprised that students or colleagues do not know them; or at least some of them.
