📚 Windrunner is a metalcore band from Hanoi, Vietnam. They were formed in 2015 and have released 3 albums so far. They are signed to Famined Records.

🗣️ I love this band, heavy beats, awesome screams, beautiful cleans and that from a country you hardly ever hear from. In 2019 they parted ways with vocalist Duong Bui and eventually found Nân. Unfortunately for me Nân doesn’t do screams and so the band has been heading in more of a post-hardcore vibe.

📚 Make Them Suffer are a melodic hardcore band from Australia. They’ve been performing since 2013 and released multiple albums. Their modus operandi is heavy deathcore with clean angelic vocals.

🗣️ This band, specifically this song, has everything that I like. Heavy music, raw emotions that can be felt and angelic voices to bring it all together. These vocals as well as the keyboard tunes are provided by Booka Nile. However she recently left the band and in her place has come Alex Reade who fills the role neatly. Do check out the song ‘Doomswitch’ with her.

📚 Saviour are an Australian melodic hardcore band formed in 2009. The band mixes melodies with blasting breakdowns like no other. They’ve released several albums.

🗣️ The juxtaposition of heavy screams and the angelic choruses is just something that speaks to me. I have played this specific song so many times. While Shontay only does cleans, there’s quite a grunge feeling to it. Other songs to checkout: Unstoppable, The Quiet Calm and Undead.

📚 Vilify is a 4-piece melodic hardcore band from Australia formed in 2020. They’ve released two EPs, their debut ‘Clarity’ and a double single release ‘Odyssey/Futility’.

🗣️ This band got promoted by Spaceuntravel and ended up in their Spotify playlist. At one point in the song some cleans came through and I finally realized that this was a woman screaming. I really like their sound a lot and they’re quite up-and-coming. They’re definitely leaning more towards the hardcore part of melodic hardcore 🤘.
