Another little experiment with #demixing with #izotope. This is an ancient stereo cassette recording of my band at a frat party in 1979. The B3 player played a massively wrong chord at one point.
First, I went into the incorrect section and used #Melodyne to remove the wrong chord notes. Then I found the correct chord in a later section, isolated the guitar and keys, and copy/pasted it where the wrong chords had been.

I am now installing Melodyne Assistant and I now feel utterly godlike. Not only will this allow me to correct notes, change amplitude, and even split notes for any vocal track I record, but I will also be able to take anything I sing and turn it into a MIDI file that I can then apply to another instrument track. Which means that I can hypothetically put a Tape-a-Talk voice recording from my phone and instantly turn it into MIDI. What a time we live in! Holy cow!
