Walkers are Welcome Town - Meltham
Meltham is a small town in Kirklees, West Yorkshire. It lies in the Holme Valley, below Wessenden Moor, on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It's surrounded by a network of public rights of way, including several waymarked and documented routes. It is 2.7 miles from the Pennine Way.

Two soggy specimens for #ThickTrunkTuesday - beeches within a few metres of each other in the woods at #Meltham near #Huddersfield in #Yorkshire UK.
We met these two while out on a walk at the weekend - I should have thrown a human in for scale but they were both about 120cm in diameter.
I'll go back to take a pic of them when they're in full leaf next year - I bet they're marvellous.
