Love this plaque on Byres Road in Glasgow just across from Tennent's Bar. If you don't know who Stewart Cruikshank was, and his role in various Scottish music scenes, he's well worth reading up about.

This intriguing plaque can be found on the side of the 1895 former British Linen Bank on High Street in Glasgow. It reads: On this site stood the house in which the poet Campbell lived. An additional plate seems to have been added later with the text: born 1777, died 1844.

The memorial on James Watt Street in Glasgow to the 22 people who died in a fire at a furniture warehouse in November 1968.
Most died because the windows still had bars on them from the days when the building was a bonded whisky warehouse, and the only escape route was blocked by a padlocked door, meaning there was no way out.
