Another question. I love memorizing poems, and having my students do so. I’m wondering what you have memorized? If you do. I’m always surprised by who has poems inside of them, and what those poems are. My twins and I still love to recite bits of Caroline Bergvall’s More Pets. I also have the opening to Dionne Brand’s Thirsty, which I adore. For me it’s mostly fragments—Dickinson, Plath. I’m compiling a selection for an essay.
