Ich hab Freitag zum ersten Mal eine Stunde mit #peerInstruction gemacht.
Das war schon ganz gut und den Schülern hat‘s auch gefallen.
Allerdings gefällt mir bei #mentimeter nicht, dass es proprietär ist - und ich find‘s auch recht teuer, wenn ich das nur 1-2 Mal im Monat nutze.

Als Alternative will ich jetzt mal #particify testen. Wirkt nicht ganz so fancy wie mentimeter, aber der erste Eindruck ist wirklich gut!

I tested out my TikTok or not ice breaker in my 1st year teaching session this morning. Seemed to go OK. I used #Mentimeter and gave several scenarios and for each asked if they would consult a search engine, TikTok or a traditional source (eg a recipe book, a medical dictionary, a newspaper).

Search engine still ranked highest for most questions with TikTok second. The final question was about an organisational behaviour topic (their module) and zero said they would use the core textbook!
