#MEPs adopted draft mandate on violating & circumventing #EU sanctions, introducing common definition of violations & minimum penalties 2 ensure they are punished as criminal offences uniformly.

Sanctions can consist o freezing funds/assets, travel bans, arms embargoes, restrictions on business sectors. Violations can include not freezing funds, not respecting travel bans required by sanctions, or doing business w/ state-owned entities of countries subject 2 sanctions.
