Dropped into #bendigowoollenmills last week and found this gorgeous #variegated #purple 100% #australian #merino #wool #8ply #yarn. Being in the #bargain section, the three balls they had were it, and so not enough to make a #handknit #jumper (#sweater ) or #cardigan without playing #yarnchicken, so fell back to my default of #knitting #socks. Being so sidt, thick and #lush, they'll be perfect for my friend, Laura, who finds the bitter #chill of #winter in #Victoria almost unbearable.
They're knitting up very quickly on my #KnitPro #Zing #Interchangeables using #magicloop #2atatime (to avoid SSS - #SecondSockSyndrome) and the #fishlipskiss sock #pattern.
I suspect these will be the first of many I'll be knitting.

And for laundry, it's gentle cycle only in a garment bag. Or hand wash only. It needs to be babied too much imo.
The big plus I hear about merino is that it can be worn multiple times without washing and won't stink. You know what? Skip the merino and do laundry.
Just my opinion here.
I do laundry every night if I'm travelling in summer. Doesn't take long.

I’ve been wearing #Merino wool ever since the dry cleaner closed at the beginning of the pandemic. Very comfortable, easy to maintain, and lots of compliments. I’m not going back!

Ich hasse Kälte!🥶Aber jetzt ist es egal, ob im Winter die Heizung ausfällt oder ich ins Freie gezerrt werde - ich bin vorbereitet! Das Material lässt einen nicht schwitzen und hält einen muckelig warm. Klare Empfehlung für Frostbeulen!😌
