@vipergeek @vipergeek I am deeply saddened by the #nytimes’s misuse of the very precise measurement of “decimated.” If the technical teams were merely #decimated, it would be quite tragic but #Twitter would be fine…

…and I’m being told now that #language has moved on and decimated now means “destroyed a whole lot of” and the literal definition, “killed one in ten of” is relegated to a #historical definition…

…this update just in: there is a disagreement between #merriamwebsterdictionary and #oxforddictionary over which is the primary definition.
