Why is there no android version of #MeshLab? That would be super helpful for mobile devices, even if it takes longer because they are not so powerful 🤔

Is there anyone out there, who developed a pipeline or workflow for 3d mesh decimation / remeshing and retexturing / baking with #foss tools?

Thumbs keys on my #MechanicalKeyboard (https://zephirum.tuxfamily.org) are rotated by 90 degrees to get a denser thumb cluster when using MBK #keycaps. Sadly this neat trick is not compatible with the brand new thumb LDSA keycap 😟 Thankfully their #3Dprint files are open source so I used #MeshLab and #Blender to create a thumb LDSA keycap compatible with my keyboard 🤩

Bonus: original LDSA keycaps are available for pre-ordered from @fourstepper's shop for people who live in 🇪🇺

Great FLOSS news. Meshlab is program for processing and editing 3D triangular meshes. For me it's kind of the swiss army knive for STL and other 3d files. I've been using it for years for my 3D printing projects e.g. to simplify an STL file, to create a voronoi model of a 3D object or to create a collada file.

The last couple of years development seemed to be stagnating but now it has picked up again and how! Already five new versions this year...
